Why & Mission

• Basically its a fan club for Mount Tahoma/Rainier

• The idea is we are watching for when The Mountain is out

• The Shop's mission is to protect our parks via the purchase of quality goods.

Different parts of RW

• The RW Shop - Quality small batch goods inspired by mountains. Part of each purchase (5%) is donated to protecting the parks.

• RainierWatch.com - (This website) Basecamp for all things about the company including blog posts and articles focused on Mount Tahoma/Rainier and the PNW.

• Is The Mountain Out app - Web application launched in 2022 where users can report if The Mountain is out or not from their location and have it recorded on an interactive map.

• Is The Mountain Out Today? - Answers yes or no if The Mountain is out today and is powered by the "Is The Mountain Out" App.

Company Stats

• The RW Shop started in 2018 and within 4 years has shipped products to all 50 states and 4 countries.

• Since 2020, we've donated over $7,000 to non profits.

Branding

• Official Name: "Rainier Watch LLC" - commonly referred to as "Rainier Watch" in publications and often abbreviated as "RW"

• Also known as "RW Apparel Co", "RW Supply Co", "Mount Rainier Watch", "Is The Mountain Out?", "Rainier Watch Shop"

• Usage: Please do not edit, recolor, or change the RW logo. Let me know if none of these work for your purposes.

The Team

• David Lindahl - Founder and pretty much everything else. (Hey that's me 👋🏻). I built this website, have done all the branding design, website design, website development, social media marketing, marketing, product fulfillment, operations management, product design, and everything myself. (I do occasionally hire freelancers for things like apparel design, email marketing, and bookkeeping.)

• Michael Lindahl - David's brother who sometimes helps out to run local markets and has also helped build the RW API and IsTheMountainOut.com.
